What is a Co-Op? This
Co-op is a weekly meeting with Christian home school families
co-operating together to share in the learning process. Each family will
offer some service to the group as we meet for activities that are more
beneficial and more fun when done as a group together. Such things will
include physical education, the fine arts and home economics. All
members are expected to contribute in some manner.
Does the Co-Op offer tutoring or
complete schooling? No. We are not a "school". We are just home
school families coming together to share experiences and certain classes
once a week. These classes may include art, music, physical education,
geography, or opportunities for speech. In the future, we hope to be
able to offer our members the opportunities for National Spelling or
Geography Bees and Science Fairs.
When does the Co-Op Meet?
We
meet from September
through May with breaks for holidays. The Co-Op generally meets every
Friday from
9:30 am until noon at Trinity Baptist Church at 2nd St and 12 Ave. SE in
Moultrie. Occasionally, we will have a "meet us there" fieldtrip.
Can I participate without being a
member?
We welcome any home school families
to visit our weekly meetings once or twice to "check us out".
Some of our activities outside of
our regular meetings are open to all home-schoolers.
